Front Load Washer Maintenance

The first mistake people make is closing the door right after pulling the wet laundry out. Because front-loaders are airtight it traps moisture and becomes a breeding ground for bacteria and mold.

• Leave the door open: After every cycle leave the door open to allow the bellow or door seal to dry completely.
•  Deep Clean: Once a month check for debris like coins, tooth picks loose screws etc. And clean the bellow with a mixture of dish soap and water or use a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar.

Most front-loaders have a small door at the bottom left corner of the front of the machine. Inside is the drain pump filter which prevents debris from reaching your drain pump housing and plumbing.

• The Cleaning Process: Behind that small door you will find a small hose which will allow you to drain the residual water from the machine. Place a tray or a small bucket and pull the plug out of the small hose to allow the waiter to drain (empty your container of choice as needed). After the water has bee drained unscrew the filter and clean it thoroughly before putting it back. 
• Try to do this every 3-6  months to keep your machine draining and running well.
